We raise a herd a Angus and Angus Cross Cattle. Our
cattle are raised on pasture and finished out on grain
from a local mill. Our reason for finishing on grain is
that we believe that it helps with flavor, color and
marbling of the meat. The wonderful Maryland weather
does not allow for enough grass in the pasture year
round so we also feed hay. The hay comes from our
property, so that we know what the animals are eating.
We do not use hormones on our animals.
If your looking to stock your freezer we offer quarters,
halves or a whole steer. The current price for a quarter,
half or whole is $5.25 per pound.
We do not sell by live weight, hanging weight or any
other method of confusion. We simply charge you for
what you get. For example: a quarter will generally
yield about 110 to 160 pounds of meat. It will be
individual cuts of steaks, roasts, and ground beef
wrapped and frozen. So if you order a quarter and it
yields 120 pounds of meat you will pay 120 x $5.25
equalling $630.00.
